Importance Of First Aid

IMPORTANCE OF UK MEDIC FIRST AID

Any individual who has a mild or significant illness or injury should receive first aid as soon as possible, with the goal of preserving their life.

BASIC INFORMATION :

First aid is the term used to describe medical care that is typically provided at the scene of the injury and shortly after it happens. It frequently consists of a single, brief treatment and is carried out with little help from technology or special expertise. Cleaning minor wounds, scrapes, or scratches; treating a minor burn; using bandages and dressings; using over-the-counter medication; draining blisters; removing debris from the eyes; massage; and consuming fluids to ease heat exhaustion are all examples of first aid procedures.

    Principles of First Aid

    Preserve Life

    Prevent Deterioration

    Promote Recovery

    First Aid Practices

               Adopting prompt action

This is the foundation of the "Preserving Life" principle: prompt action after an accident can prevent more damage and save lives. You shouldn't hesitate to assist if you can if someone needs support, whether it's due to an illness or an injury.

              Calming down the situation

First responders should be able to maintain their composure under pressure and assist in lowering the overall stress levels of both the injured person and any other concerned parties.

    Calling for medical assistance

Make sure to get a hold of the emergency services by calling 999 as soon as possible, either by calling directly yourself or asking a bystander to do so if you’re preoccupied handing the injury.

When working with electrical equipment, use safe work practises??

When working with electrical equipment, use safe work practices?? Safe Work Practices             When the device is being serviced or maintained, disconnect it from the source.              Before doing maintenance or repairs on electrical equipment , disconnect the power supply.              If handling plugged-in equipment is required, wear non-conductive gloves, and insulated-sole shoes, and ensure that all contacting components are dry.               Keep the other hand away from any conductive material if it is safe to work with just one hand. By taking this action, mishaps involving current via the chest cavity are decreased.               Due to condensation problems, it is necessary to use electrical equipment in cold rooms as little as possible.               If using these spaces is necessary, the device must be mounted to a wall or vertical panel.               The equipment power must be turned off at the main switch or circuit breaker and unplugged if the gadget react
