FIRE PREVENTION PLAN | AIM VISION SAFETY

FIRE PREVENTION :

Employers should educate employees about workplace fire hazards and what to do in the event of a fire.

Responsibilities for Management Training Unless a single manager is assigned to this task, all managers should coordinate with the Plan Administrator to train all FPP-covered personnel.

PASS STRATEGY :

Requirements for the fire prevention plan

A list of all main fire hazards, safe handling and storage practises for hazardous items, potential ignition sources and their control, and the type of fire protection equipment required to control each major hazard are all required at a minimum in your fire prevention plan.

OBJECTIVES :

Reduce the chances of a fire occurring by aiming to put out a fire within four hours.

Reduce the spread of fire both within the site and to nearby areas.

We would recommend that any operator storing any amount of combustible waste has a fire prevention plan to protect their business but there is also a regulatory requirement.
