WORK AT HEIGHT SAFETY REGULATION

Work at Height Regulations Hierarchy of Control
Working at a height is avoided to the greatest extent possible. A pre-existing safe work environment is used. To avoid accidents, more equipment-oriented work should be provided. Accidents caused by heights and the effects of falls are reduced.

Work at height' means work in any place where, if there were no precautions in place, a person could fall a distance liable to cause personal injury (for example a fall through a fragile roof down an unprotected lift shaft, stairwells).

  •           Use tools and machines properly.
  •           Be aware of your surroundings.
  •           Be safe in the cold weather.
  •           Follow procedure, don't take shortcuts.
  •           Wear your protective gear.
  •           If you see unsafe conditions, let a supervisor know.
  •           Take breaks.
  •           Stay sober.
  •            Practice correct posture

  •            Reduce workplace stress

WORK AT HEIGHT IN RISK ASSESSMENT :

A risk assessment is a thorough analysis of the potential for harm to a person in a given scenario, as well as a method of evaluating the controls in place to prevent harm.

                  Determine the dangers.
Determine who might be injured and how that harm might manifest.
Assess the dangers and take precautions if necessary.
Make a note of your observations and put them into practise.
If necessary, go over and adjust your risk assessment (usually after an event or change)

When working with electrical equipment, use safe work practises??

When working with electrical equipment, use safe work practices?? Safe Work Practices             When the device is being serviced or maintained, disconnect it from the source.              Before doing maintenance or repairs on electrical equipment , disconnect the power supply.              If handling plugged-in equipment is required, wear non-conductive gloves, and insulated-sole shoes, and ensure that all contacting components are dry.               Keep the other hand away from any conductive material if it is safe to work with just one hand. By taking this action, mishaps involving current via the chest cavity are decreased.               Due to condensation problems, it is necessary to use electrical equipment in cold rooms as little as possible.               If using these spaces is necessary, the device must be mounted to a wall or vertical panel.               The equipment power must be turned off at the main switch or circuit breaker and unplugged if the gadget react
